Race Information

September 14, 2014: Stratford Woods Park, Midland MI

It is that time of year and Cyclocross is in the air.
Michigan’s most challenging race and ‘Euro’-style course is back, only this year, during warmer weather!
Start your season off with us and make it your best season yet!  We are ready to make 2014 our most exciting event yet!   Special performances: We have 15 racing categories for the BBW. New for this year: Each category will have a winner for one of the course aspects. The three possible course aspects are Sandpit, Barriers, fast start. A prize will be given for first racer thru one of those aspects of the course.  An announcement will be made prior to the start of each category. Aspect sponsors: Hammer Barriers, Cyclefit Sandpit, Cyclefit Holeshot(start).

The course:
We were hailed last year for having one of the most challenging, technical and FUN course in the state.  Racers said:
Bissel Rider-“Finally, a cross course that focuses more on skills and technique than fitness!”
TCC Rider-“This was a race for true cyclocross lovers”
Random racer-“This race has to be the closest thing to a European style course.”

The terrain, multiple sand crossings, off-camber downhill turns and the fast, flat sprint finish, all contribute to an amazing experience.  Beginners will improve skills, elites will be constantly challenged and everyone in-between will have a blast with what we conjure up this year.
